Recently, we had the pleasure of being featured on the blog of the Suburban Kamakazie, otherwise known as Chicago area writer and journalist Pat Dunnigan. Apparently, SK has the distinction of having been described as the “funniest laundry blog to come out of the suburban Midwest since ever.”
We met Pat at AWP, where she picked up Babies Ruin Everything and was enjoying it demonstratively until she turned around, saw Robbi with August, and, afraid she had offended, quickly disclaimed that surely August was not ruinous. Robbi explained everything: that she was the illustrator of said book and that August had, in fact, contributed in his small and inadvertent way to the ongoing demise of our fortunes.
