The reunion is over, but we are still in Massachusetts. It seemed foolish to drive back to Maryland for a few days, given that we’re expected in Providence tomorrow for the start of the ICON conference.
So far, we have been successfully repressing the fact that we will, in three days time, be addressing a crowd of 500 from the ICON main stage, a crowd that includes many of the movers and shakers from the illustration world, a crowd that will never have heard of us and who may not like us at all and may hurl fruit in various stages of ripeness.
To that end, Robbi headed to the mall yesterday to procure a stylish (and fruit-resistant) outfit. She went with Mom and my sister Andy while I stayed home and got some work done. The merry procession looked something like this:
Today we head to downtown Boston for a trip to the Science Museum. Apparently, there are monkeys. The children are excited, except for August, who doesn’t understand monkeys and probably won’t for a while.

where’s the dress?
Those cheeks! Awesome! And yes, request to see the outfit.
Joke’s on you, Jenifer and Heather! No dress. After 40 minutes of horror and misery in the dress section, I opted for ye olde black pants. How do you spell relief? Y.A.W.N.
