Ups and Downs

There are some great things about road trips.

Seeing new sights:

Bonding over ice cream sandwiches with new friends:

Going cruising with old friends:

But for every up, there must be a down.

For example, sleeping five to a dorm room:

Or worse, being forced to sleep in the closet while everyone else lives it up in the “main room”:

Or even worse, going to the Museum of Science only to discover that you are at the very bottom of the growth chart (in blue and red):

But, perhaps all that is not nearly as bad as discovering that you, in fact, are not even on the growth chart:

Luckily, the only apparent solution is to eat more ice cream sandwiches.

Here’s to being back on the ups.

May the fun never stop, Robbi! A couple of years ago when I was in Paris with long-time friends, we went on a road trip to England where we met up with their grown-up kids and, again, like when the kids were wee, we all shared the same room … like we used to share cabins on boats, kept up half the night by drinking and/or giggling decades ago. We did it again. May we always and may you always!

That’s Williams – love of community!

As I know the campus has a lot of dorm rooms tagged “single” occupancy, what building were you in?

    What a lot of fun…

    Onward to Providence and ICON-

    Here’s to all “Ups”!

Jenifer – I’m used to playing sardines. Matthew, on the other hand, needs plenty of room for his 7 pillows. We’ll teach him, soon enough!

Admirer – first off, I like your name. In response to your question: we were in Morgan. Our room was on the first floor towards the science quad, and long and skinny. I lived in Morgan before it was renovated (and when it was still a freshman dorm) as a JA, so had imagined our room would be a single off of a spacious common room. Silly me!

IMPORTANT! To be able to proceed, you need to solve the following simple math problem (even Robbi can do it!) so we know that you are a human. You are human, right?
