My love affair with the sun bun has been well documented on these pages. Doug the Baker came to town and elevated my lackluster food quality standards to a significantly higher level. Now he aims to cultivate in me appreciation for fine blended coffee drinks.
In case you haven’t heard, Doug has a new espresso machine, a super fancy, bright and shiny behemoth called the La Marzocco.
And a new “espresso program,” which means you can now get a variety of espresso-based beverages to go with your sun bun. Or a steamed milk, as your tastes may allow.
To mark my enthusiasm for Evergrain’s new arrival, I wrote a piece for our local newspaper, the Chestertown Spy. In it, I document the (surprisingly many and varied) steps involved in making the perfect cappuccino. Loaded with photos, you will find it bears an uncanny similarity to the format of this blog.
So whether you like learning stuff or thinking about coffee drinks or exploring the intrigue of what one reader called “easily one of the greatest bromances in Ctown history,” feel free to have a read.
And then, by all means, head down to Evergrain, and have yourself a cappuccino.

A fine bromance! Delicious.
I meant to also say that Kato really rocks that ‘stache!
