Deathcicles

I opened the shades yesterday to discover that the icicles hanging from the roof were coming to get me.

So I closed the shades and haven’t left the house since.

  • maybe they’re just coming to visit?

A friend of mine had icicles like that and they turned out to be ice dams. http://www.extension.umn.edu/distribution/housingandclothing/dk1068.html

I hope that’s not the case for you, but they cause leaks in the roof, so you might want to investigate further.

Kenan – they looked like they were here to stay. Until Matthew attacked them with a hammer. Go, my man!

Jessica – thank you for the tip. Because of you, Matthew was called upon to summon his inner man and attack them with a hammer. It was quite spectacular. Unfortunately, we only got the follow-up attack on camera – the one where he used a broom, and was much less effective (and manly).

No prob. I would have had no idea what an ice dam is but for my friend posting about it on Facebook. The internet is a wonderful thing.

  • whoa. remind me never to visit your place.

Kenan – inside there are two fat cats, a nervous dog, two babies, and lots of burrito fixins. If this doesn’t lure you into our deathtrap, then maybe the fact that I stuff my mattress with hundred dollar bills will…?

All this so I can divert the deathcicles.
