In the excitement and hubbub of last week’s Slate-fueled strangeness in and around the barn, I have a feeling that some of you might have overlooked the fact that our art auction has returned after a three-week absence. How else could I explain the fact that Robbi’s absolutely stunning Pigeon-Toed Turkey is still to be had for a mere $21? Original art for less than the price of a bad meal at Applebee’s?
I’m appalled and excited. I know you are, too. You may thank me later for bringing this fleeting opportunity to your attention. For now, consult your bank account, and if you’re running low, just remember that you are an American (unless you’re not) and buy now, spending more than you actually have, without regard for minor concerns like mounting debt or the repo man.
Remember that if Benjamin Franklin had had his way, the turkey would have been our national bird. Be a patriot. Just mosey on over to Ebay and refuse to be defeated.
