Aidan Shepard - death metal drummer, chick magnet

Aidan Shepard is a drummer masquerading as a high school student. He spends his time listening to a lot of metal, in particular bands like Decapitated, Dragonforce, Dream Theater, Lamb of God, and Cannibal Corpse. Although he most enjoys playing machine-gun double bass with crazy-ass fills, he is also very influenced by funk, blues, techno, hardcore punk, and bands like The Who. He sometimes plays some jazz. Recently he has been really into funk (i.e. I Want You Back by The Jackson Five) and Foo Fighters-esque aggressive rhythm rock (i.e Monkey Wrench). Though Aidan is a generally agreeable fellow, he really prefers not to play folk-acoustirock (i.e. Neutral Milk Hotel) or The Pixies, which he considers not really folk and more like pop.

As drummer for rock n' roll band Monkey Riot, Shepard earned the compliment "Sick drumming, man . . . " He has played such venues as the Charlemont Inn and Appalachian Bean Cafe in Berkshire County, Massachusetts. Perhaps his greatest claim to fame is once eating a piece of cherry pie belonging to Levon Helm, one of his all-time heroes.
