We at Idiots’Blog are seldom timely or topical, but even we admit that it would be strange to talk about anything other than the enormous mounds of snow outside the window. It has stopped falling. The world outside is still. Who knows when we will see the grass again, the cars, the sidewalks, or the businesses.
I know that many of you from this approximate region are tired of snow and do not want to see it for another moment. But for our readers in Arizona, Hawaii, and Guam, here is a glimpse of what it looked like on our walk to the post office yesterday afternoon.
And here is what was happening inside, a warmer sort of episode.
Which will happen first: Kato learning to walk or the first crocus of Chestertown spring? Looking at the forecast, there seems to be a stretch of sunny days ahead, but we’ve learned of late to be prepared for anything.

Notice how Kato doesn’t blink for a whole 20 seconds – the focus of a samurai! Wax on, wax off!
Awwwwww. He is adorable. The snow, not so much.
He is so precious!
Big smile here…so, so sweet.
And the snow is nice, too. ;-)
Thanks for sharing…
The snow looks so peaceful! We got about 18″ here yesterday. And I found myself talking to your dog while watching the video…which makes me slightly concerned about my sanity.
Don – Iggy says Hi. She wishes you would talk to her more often, since she’s apparently not getting enough attention around here anymore.
