After months of snow, it rained the other day. It came down hard and loud but not for long. Afterward, we went outside, which pleased everyone to no end.
The bikes haven’t gotten much use lately.
It was around just over 50 but it felt like the middle of summer. We raced up and down the sidewalks.
We bid the winter farewell. So what that it might have been premature? The conditions demanded our enthusiasm, our hope.
When he tired of his trike, August grabbed the wagon and gave an imaginary someone a ride.
And when he tired of that, he resorted to his own two feet. He really can’t run yet. It’s still just a spirited waddle in double time.
Whether or not it has arrived, we got a whiff of spring. We know it’s there somewhere, headed this way.
And we’re ready.
