Right now, it is 11:57pm on Monday, August 20, and just moments ago, Robbi pushed go on the Bobbledy Books site, completing a journey that began 18 months ago when a fellow suggested in an off-handed way that we should start a children’s-book-by-subscription service and signaling the start of a brand-new adventure, the shape of which is yet to be seen.
But for now, let us revel in the moment.
We’re feeling pretty good right about now.
And you. What are you doing here? We appreciate your loyalty, but there are other, more important things to do right now. Right over here.

Congratulations! from a long time lurker.
I don’t have children and don’t know any children, but I’m seriously coveting a subscription to Bobbledy books.
Must find a child to share this with :: plots ::
Or maybe I’ll just buy one for myself. Is that so very weird?
Anyway, congrats again.
Cheers!
P.S. Oh dear. I had to use my fingers to solve the math puzzle. NEED MOAR COFFEE NAO!!!
WOO HOO! Congratulations!!!!!
Also, Happy Matthew looks suspiciously like Sleepy Matthew to me.
Very happy for you and left a comment over on Bobbledy.
Do I now have to decide whether to comment here or there? Cuz I can’t possibly do both. Tell you what…I will base my decision on whichever site has better baby coverage. Cuz in my book, babies are boss.
Hello Dorey:
No, no, NO! It is not weird to want a subscription to Bobbledy Books for oneself. Picture books are (or, at least, can be) beautiful, thoughtful, funny, moving, insightful works of art. They are (or, at least, can be) as appealing and relevant to adults as they are to children. Trust your impulse. Treat yourself to something special. If it makes you a little bit more childlike, then you will have done yourself a favor today, I think.
PS – good luck with the math.
