As I have already told you, there were puppies this year in Alaska. Six, harmless, cute-as-buttons puppies. Lovable and fluffy, playful and sweet.
One day, we were over at Vern’s house playing with the puppies. I was admiring the sky.
Suddenly, I heard a tiny cry of protest. I turned and looked and saw this.
Yes, that’s Kato at the bottom of the heap. In their enthusiasm, the puppies had knocked him down and were doing their best to love him into submission.
As it turns out, ‘lovable’ and ‘harmless’ are relative terms.







and your first thought was to take a picture??? Gotta admit it’s a good one though.
My *first* thought was to see if I could find a documentary filmmaker to come capture footage of life on the “rough and tumble” tundra, but given that there were none to be found, I sucked it up and settled for a still image instead.
