In a break from recent tradition, this week’s auction was not inspired by a Bobbledy prompt. Instead, Robbi fell into a fugue state and churned out about 15 drawings in one delirious 90-minute stretch. At the end of the exercise, we had many odd, unlovable treasures to choose from. The winner (for this week, at least) is a little number featuring everyone’s favorite helmeted baddie.
Ah, but closer inspection reveals that this is not, in fact, good old Tall, Dark, and Awful himself, but in fact, Vader’s little brother.
Here you go, up close and personal:
Robbi fears that Star Wars purists will lament that she did not instead write “Vader, I am your little brother,” since “Darth” is just a title and “Vader” is his Christian name. I contend that the “Darth” version scans much better if the intent is mirroring the syntax of the original (which, for you people who live under rocks is “Luke, I am your father.”).
I respectfully request that you Star Wars purists cut Robbi some slack. The woman tries, alright?
Purist, under-rock dweller, or something in between, you are welcome to bid on this handsome portrait over on Ebay. The auction ends at 12:30pm EST on Sunday afternoon.
May the reckless quest to win at any cost be with you.
