As August emerges from baby into almost-toddler, Kato is slowly discovering his value. He likes to make his little brother laugh, for example. He also likes to sit on him. Or identify the location of his nose, depending on his mood.
Now that Alden is in school all day, the boys get lots of time together. I’ll be curious to see if they become good buddies once August starts to walk and talk. Once the idolatry kicks in.
We shall see.
For now, each one has his separate orbit.
August, exploring his world.
Kato conquering his.
But Augie’s making progress.
It won’t be long at all, I think, before this little carnival of ours becomes a three-ring circus.
