Because it was too good to pass up, I thought I would post this video of Matthew being completely ineffectual against the ice dam problem. Lily stands by for moral support.
In all fairness, however, he had just very effectively knocked about 400 pounds of snow off the gutter (from the window I was filming from all the way down to the window he’s poking out of) with a gentle tap of a hammer combined with his general fierce and intimidating demeanor. He barely even looked at it before it fell helplessly to the earth.
Ladies, look out.

Rory – Mr. Mack obviously knows more about Matthew than I thought. The whole first part of the video (that I edited out) was me yelling at Matthew not to get knocked out of the window when the whole thing came falling off the roof. Or to get knocked in the teeth with the broom handle. Or. Or. Or. etc.
