Hello friends,
Last night I wrote a long blog post. Unfortunately, I cannot share it with you because it is not for this blog.
After planning and scheming and writing and drawing for more than a year now, the launch of Bobbledy Books is imminent. Our hope is that the site will be live within a week. And, of course, the site will have a blog and the blog will need some posts.
But, of course, there is so much more afoot. We will be sending the final files for the first Bobbledy Book (The Girl With Frogs in Her Ears) back to the printer today. Here’s a panel from the book.
The custom envelopes we had made for the Bobbledy mailings are en route from the printer, and we wait with excitement and dread to see if they can possibly look as sharp and colorful as we hope they will be.
Here’s what we sent:
We’ll see what they send back.
The letters that will accompany the Bobbledy mailings are still working their way from brain space to finished design.
The birthday card that will be sent to each member of the Bobbledy club is still taking shape.
The systems that will support a whole new set of data is still being refined.
I imagine that, in the real world, these things are all sorted out long before a new press actually launches, but in the world of the barn, things get done when they need to get done.
And right about now, they need to get done. So back to it we go. But know that the dawn of Bobbledy is nigh. And with it, yet another blog for you to use as a vehicle for drowning your sorrows upon a Monday morning.

We’ll all be drinking bubbly for Bobbledy soon, can’t wait.
