The gestation of Billie Jean King Swanson has reached its midpoint. We went to the OB this morning and learned that all of his/her bits are intact, the right size, and functioning as well as can be determined via ultrasound.
As is our custom, we directed the doctor not to look at BJK’s “junk,” so to speak, so we still have no idea what flavor of child we are having.
But we did get a good luck at the little sucker’s face.
We’re hoping that he/she looks a bit less skeletal 20 weeks hence.

I think you should start referring to him/her as “skeletor” instead of Billie Jean King… Very exciting times for you all! :)
She’s beautiful! ( Just a gut guess. Do I get a prize if I’m right?)
Clare: Sure, you can have a prize if you’re rigth. I’m happy to offer it because I know you’re wrong. This child is a boy, I’m sure. My gut has been right the first two times. Either I’m good at this, or I’m due for a surprise.

Matthew,
Your “gut feeling”…my “gut feeling”…LOL, I wonder what Robbi has to say about it.
Kind of reminds me of the phone conversation between my husband and my OB Gyn when I was in labor (later realized it was transition) where they were trying to decide how to keep me from going to the hospital too soon. My husband hung up and was ready to put his head back down on the pillow. To his chagrin, I demanded he take me right then. My son was born 20 minutes after we arrived…in the labor room no less. My doctor barely made it there in time.
Oh dear…just listened to part of your talk, and given that Robbi incubates babies for 19 months, that must really complicate things.
Fun talk, thanks for sharing!
