Does anyone else’s dog do this?
It can’t be comfortable. Or good for one’s back.
Later this afternoon, things got even sillier. Was she trying to appeal to my sense of aesthetics?
I must assume that it’s difficult to be a dog. I do have sympathy. But I’ve got to wonder: where’s the dignity?
Perhaps it’s a cry for help? A plea for attention?
Or maybe the old girl just wants a belly rub.

Yes! My dog sleeps on his back with one leg extended into the air; his lips fall back and he has an enormous grin. I assume that when one has reached the dog level of being, then there is no reason not to luxuriate in the splendors of lazy stretching and long legs.

Yeah, our new dog’s favorite place is to be on her back with her legs up, too, but not with the fine form of Iggy….
