We have been busier than usual lately. This usually happens in May, when our departure for Alaska starts to loom. We have books to finish and presentations to prepare and various jobs to print on the letterpress.
But we’re also managing to have a bit of fun from time to time.
Gardening a little.
Having a bit of pre-race jitters.
And just a bit of post-race angst (note to Augie: one doesn’t win when one stands in active protest on the starting line for 45 seconds after the race begins).
A curious encounter with a cow.
Reaffirmation of the timeless truth that free popsicles conquer all.
Colonial enthusiasm. Viva la Tea Party.
Brotherly love.
Sisterly unhelpfulness.
Motherly love.
Motherly drug of choice.
A small dog in a big truck.
A brand-new book, awash in narcissism.
A cordial meal with a visiting friend.
More popsicles (this time, without even having to race/talk to that strange cow).
Archery lessons.
Adopting a new persona as the Lone Reindeer.
Riding the ladybug.
Plotting the path.
Casting the first stones.
Hitching a ride with dad.
Woodland capers with good friends.
Hitching a ride with mom.
Hitching a ride with new friends.
Hitching a ride with new friends.
Playing on the most improbable, dangerous, and baffling playground implement ever created.
Good times. Very good times. Just not much time to write about them properly. Use your imaginations. This blogger will return to his regularly scheduled framing language when various projects sort themselves out.
For now, enjoy your Tuesday.
