While we were out gallivanting last week, Iggy stayed in Chestertown, taking up temporary residence with our neighbors Donald and Ann.

Looking at the photo below, you may think that Iggy was sad without us, maybe even despondent. I have another interpretation. Iggy, free from the endless blight of children and cats, finally had a chance to relax. And take a good nap.

But that’s not the only reason Iggy enjoyed herself last week.

Some of you know Tanker McColl, and for those of you who don’t, take a look at this handsome fellow. Tanker is, so far as I know, Iggy’s boyfriend, though she doesn’t like to talk about it much.

From all reports, they had a fabulous time together, sharing beds, touching noses, exchanging meaningful glances, etc.

So why then, is Tanker so sad?

Because we’re home, of course, and Iggy is back in the barn. As we speak, her nose is pressed against the glass, staring wistfully as the raindrops fall, undeniably a teen in love.
