We’ve been inspired. Our dear friend Christian sent us this quiz from Sporcle. It’s called “Famous Faces (Badly Drawn)”. (It’s a pretty awesome quiz, you should go over there right now and take it. Let us know how you do.)
We both looked at it and instantly recognized an opportunity for Matthew to do something useful with his horrible drawing skills. So, we’ve put together our own little quiz. I pick four famous people, Matthew draws them, and you guess who they are. Matthew gets to use photo reference. We will post results and the original photos he used as reference in a few days. The more of you who participate, the more interesting this will be.
And so, here we are, with Round 1. Make sure you click the big “Submit” button down at the bottom of the page, so that we can collect your answers. That being said, we apologize for the ghetto quality of this compared to the ingenious system that Sporcle has set up. We’re no big-time quiz site here. We can only put together what comes free on the first site that comes up when you google “online survey embed blog”.

I don’t think Matthew’s so bad at drawing when compared to the general population, just when compared to the other barn-dwellers. :)
I got 39 – I swear I thought Winston Churchill was Al Capone. Some of those were really bad.
Matthew draws about as good as I do. I have to be honest, I think he is quite skilled. :)
Jessica – I’m sure a tech-savvy person could figure out whether you’ve already voted or not, but I figure this is an inexact science anyway. If in doubt, try, try again.
Also – my life is meaningless if I’m not constantly throwing Matthew under the bus. Please keep this in mind when trying to pay him compliments.
Ming – at least you got BOTH fat men with bowler hats and cigars. I couldn’t remember either.

What can I say, I’m speechless in the wake of all this praise. Buoyed by your confidence, I’ve decided to ditch Robbi. It seems one idiot is all that is needed. And that’s me.
I’m sorry!!! I was totally stumped by picture number 4. I swear it came to mind. I couldn’t resist :)
I got 38… Agreed. Some were just terrible. (Barack Obama, WHAT?) Matthew’s drawings are much better.
So…I only saw about 5 pictures…what were the answers? I’m so intrigued.
And to echo some earlier comments – I think that’s some pretty good drawing. As an Art History major I had to take Art Studio 101, and it was NOT a good time. I’m pretty certain I can’t even draw a stick figure.
