Making a fuss about a new baby is all well and good, but at some point, one has to get back to living one’s life. In my case, that means making books. We have a subscriber mailing coming up, which means hundreds of books to bind. Given the new infant care reality, I had to find a way to integrate the two activities.
Thanks to the almighty Snugli, I don’t miss a beat. I can punch and bind to my heart’s content. And when I feel compelled, I can easily pause to say hello.
Making books can be such a solitary enterprise. But not today.
And not for the foreseeable future.

Hey, if you need help, I’m happy to come down and hold August while you do work.
Don: Thank you, sir! I think we’ve got a handle on the books and baby for now. But your time is coming. Bide your time.
