In a piece inspired by last week’s Bobbledy drawing prompt, (their responses are worth checking out if you haven’t already) Robbi painted a helmeted centurion.
She has always been an admirer of those big, shiny helmets and their proud plumage. In fact, she has always wondered what it might be like to wear such a hat. She has ultimately concluded that asking one’s neck to shoulder such bulk must surely result in an aching back.
What you cannot see is that Robbi used metallic paint for the helmet. It glistens in a pleasing way in the sunlight. Here’s a shot that gives a better sense of it.
