Once again, we have failed to give you proper notice about a speaking engagement. Tomorrow (or today, depending on when you’re reading this) Thursday, November 17, we are giving a talk and reading from our work as part of the Brown Bag Lecture Series sponsored by the Friends of the Talbot County Free Library.
I feel obliged to include our old standby press release photo. We’ve been meaning to take a new one but just haven’t gotten around to it yet.
The event is free, does not require registration, and apparently, according to the press release, “coffee and sweets” will be provided.
We’re going to give our presentation from the Essay Symposium, the one with various goofy pictures of us sitting on comets and the like, after which we’ll read a few books, answer questions, and shake hands (if anyone is interested).
As for where the event is taking place, we’re not quite sure. Given that it is being sponsored by the Friends of the Library, we had figured it would be AT the library. But the press release suggests that it’s at the Talbot Hospice (and one would think that the press release would know what it was talking about, right?). If you happen to know where we’re supposed to be speaking at noon tomorrow, by all means, let us know. Barring intervention from a kindly, informed reader, we plan on arriving early in Easton tomorrow and going door-to-door until we find the Friends of the Library.
In case you did not know, tomorrow (or today), November 17th is a special day for another reason. It is, in fact, Robbi’s birthday. I spent the evening baking her a cake, an unmitigated disaster that will be the subject of another post.
To bed. We travel to Easton at dawn.

A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ROBBI!!! And very much love,
Jenifer and Remy (and Rosie, Grace and ScoooOOooOOoooT! whom you haven’t met but they know all about you)xoxooo
Happy Birthday Hobbes!!!! :)
If there is still a Denny’s in Easton you should stop in for lunch because I’m pretty sure they sell a grilled cheese with mozzarella sticks INSIDE. That’s more cheese smothered fried cheese than you normally can eat without a whole lot of shame but since you remain pregnant at present I think Billie Jean King may have a hankerin for one ;-)
