I have two cats. They lie around and loaf. They eat and excrete. They are wholly ungratifying animals. And yet, if Robbi is to be considered an expert on the topic, cats do have have limited use when it comes to getting us out of jams. I bring you this week’s auction, titled Rescue.
When all else fails, call on a cat, but don’t expect them to be gracious about it afterward. Their service is self-motivated. It is we who fill their bowl, we who empty the litter, we who tolerate their endless indifference and perpetual airborne dander.
Cats suffer us because we suffer them. It is the perfect marriage.

Speaking of cats, I’ve been meaning to ask you guys if you were pleased with your automatic litter box. I keep being tempted to invest the $$$ to avoid some of the endless scooping. The LitterMaid automatic one was a waste of money, but I’m hoping yours works better. Let me know what you think…
Oh, and give those adorable babies of yours a big hug and kiss from all of us!
Okay, I fully recognize that it is crazy that we have an automatic cat litter. That being said, it is one of our very favorite things we own. Seriously. It’s amazing. The bonus is that Alden is afraid of it, so whenever she’s refusing to do something, I can say, “Do you want to go see the cat litter?” and she straightens right up.
