We recently received a resubscribe letter that, frankly, made us like this subscriber more than anyone else. I know we claim to love all our subscibers equally, like people claim to love their children equally, but when one comes up with something like this:
you can’t help but love him a little bit more. Just like you’d love your 4th child a little bit more if he won the lottery and bought you that timeshare in Vegas you’d been dreaming about.
The very same mail delivery brought us a painting (and a very funny letter) from yet another subscriber, Miss Tilly:
who says that this fish reminded her of Alden, because Alden makes this expression sometimes. This is true. Miss Tilly should know, because she’s spent some good times with Alden. That being said, she is giving the picture to Alden, and not to us, which makes her only our second favorite subscriber. It’s as if she won the lottery and bought us a trailer in Phoenix.
I’m not putting this all out there to start any kind of competition amongst our subscribers – we do love you all. I’m just letting you know, in my own subtle way, that when one of you wins the lottery, we’re totally expecting at least a trailer.

I am feeling a lot of pressure. Uncomfortable. I’m not even sure when my subscription is up, but I guess I better start planning on more than just a check and envelope.
(Love the artwork, btw. Talented subscribers.)
Clare:
It’s too bad for you that we know you to be an accomplished artist. So the bar is high. No “Matthew Draws”-quality foofah, do you hear? A 36″x48″oil panting of serene skies would do nicely.
Matthew
It comforts me to know, that if Cannon were actually a subscriber he would be the favorite. Hands down. I mean really, no question. I guess we better start giving him an allowance so he can get started (right after we move back into the house).
