August is getting to the age where he’s starting to pretend. One of his favorite games is pretending to be asleep. He has a rough idea of how to stage this pantomime. First of all, get under the covers. When actual covers are not available, the throw rug by the kitchen sink will do.
The second requirement for faking sleep is closing one’s eyes. Easily done, right?
Not when you’re not quite two, entirely pleased with yourself, and utterly incapable of suppressing your grin.






Hilarious. Jack does this, but at his advanced age of 3 1/2, his faux sleeping involves cacophonous snoring followed by lots of giggles.
