Both Alden and Kato started walking at 13 months of age. That milestone came and went for August without so much as a blip. And other than an accidental moment of standing about a month ago (when the bin he was leaning against was removed and he failed to notice for about ten seconds), he hasn’t seemed particularly interested in the vertical lifestyle.
But then, last night, he stood unaided for a few seconds. And then this morning, I put him down, and instead of collapsing on the floor, he stood. And stood. And seemed terribly pleased with himself.
Perhaps this is the start of big things to come, or perhaps August still has another month or two of crawling yet before him.
Regardless, I like the attitude.
