I’ve had three babies, and August is the current iteration. Still small and mostly helpless, he’s getting bigger every day. And stronger and more confident. He sits up now, and eats baby biscuits, and drags himself miserably along the floor. The baby days are numbered, and so I’m trying to savor each one.

If I could, I’d keep on having babies forever.

The ones I have are such remarkable little people. I want to meet the rest of the children Robbi and I might have together.

But I think I’ve reached the place where my desire to make more tiny people has run up against the reality of my own limitations. There’s only so much of me to go around.

And there are already three little people who need and deserve my love, my time, and my general dadness.

Of, dadness there is always plenty to go around. It seems to gush up from a mighty spring whenever August smiles.

Note: The photo(s) in this post were taken by photographer/blogger/developer/promoter of clean code Jiho Sohn. I encourage you to check out his site. Furthermore, Robbi, Matthew, Alden, Kato, August, and Iggy are currently on the Alaskan tundra, fishing commercially for sockeye salmon and trying to avoid stray bears. They will return on July 17, at which point real-time blogging will resume.
