We voted today. We did it first thing in the morning so we would not forget. Alden, who has been very curious about voting, is well aware that one has to be 18 years old in order to vote. Therefore, when we invited her to come along, she was distressed. Citing her age, she informed us that she was not allowed to go. We assured her that four-year-olds were allowed to be present as voting happened. Her conscience eased, we headed out.
And where does one vote in Chestertown? At the fire station, of course.
I was all fired up to do some campaigning and distribute some literature when I came upon this sign.
Dispirited, I stumbled around, wondering where in the world we were supposed to go in order to cast our votes.
Robbi and Alden were on top of it.
We went inside, we cast our vote. I took a picture and was scolded. In deference to the shame I feel for breaking election rules, I will not include it here.
I’m writing this post at 3:52 on Tuesday afternoon. The results are not yet known.
For now we can smile and cross our fingers and hope that our guy wins.

… OR GAL!
THERE’S A GAL IN THIS RACE TOO, YOU KNOW!
Yeah, you didn’t know, did you…
:(
No stickers at our BK polling place, I am hella jealous.
What a night, what wonderful victories! And yes, lots of women were among those victors!
Phew……………….big sigh of relief…
