Here’s how the couch looked the other day, covered with the yet-to-be-ordered pages of volume 31, otherwise known as Stranded in Strange Waters.
The text is a non-linear series of paragraph/illustration pairs. The trick was to sequence the pages so as to form a kind of arc without the help of narrative progression, plot, place setting, or character development.
I was confounded.
Alden was amused.
Robbi was undaunted, taking charge and diving into the challenge, as is her way.
Once we were satisfied with the order, we took a final read and sent a proof off to our trusty editor, Matt. He gave us the green light yesterday. Today, we’ll order a single copy of the book from the print-on-demand company Lightning Source. Hopefully, it will arrive before we leave for Alaska.
The departure looms. One week from tomorrow. And so much to do between now and then.
I’m off to Baltimore for the day. Here’s where I work, by the way.

I’m looking forward to navigating these pages!
is this why i havent gotten a book in 4 months?
i’m pretty sure i wrote a check back in march
Which one of us did you hand the check to? The answer might be illuminating. What was the last book you did get? What did you have for breakfast?
