I’m a sucker for machine-gun wielding chicks in bikinis, and since I haven’t yet convinced Robbi to indulge me, for now I’ll just keep on watching this gem of a video submitted by Stella, the resounding winner of the “What the Heck is Going on at Twinny’s Sun & Guns?” contest. I don’t care that Stella really didn’t answer the question. Frankly, when I saw this video, I forgot the question entirely. My life suddenly took on new meaning, my goals, hopes, dreams, and deepest nightmares all shifted in a moment of clarity and inspiration.

For those of you who were not lucky enough to find the link buried in Stella’s comment, it’s worth a few minutes to have a look. If this doesn’t inspire you to want to own a piece of artillery, I’m not sure what will.

Loyal subscriber that she is, Stella already owns both of the books offered as possible prizes for this contest, so I invite her to come up with a substitute of her choosing. My firstborn child is certainly available.

In other news, we were in New York today being studied by a researcher from SUNY Stony Brook as part of the research for the Slate series, I’ll be in Philadelphia tomorrow to meet with some clients for my job job, and we’ll be spending the weekend in Washington, D.C. at the Small Press Expo.

Here’s the poster for this year’s show, which helpfully contains all the where and when info.

If you happen to be anywhere in the vicinity of Bethesda this weekend, please stop by and say hello. Kato will be joining us but Alden will not. Likely she’ll be in a shipping crate on the way to join Stella in Chicago.
