Casting about for something to post while watching the first game of the World Series, I found a folder called “To Post.” I don’t remember, but I must have created it for a situation just like this one. There were some treasures inside. Scanning the contents, a theme emerged. For the most part, they were pictures of my kids, including a handful of shots of their very early months.
Alden at Wal Mart.
Kato with lamb chop.
August at AWP in Chicago, hardly recognizable, pre-curl.
And then there was this shot, one of my all-time favorites. Kato at two or three days old, a tiny little lump I could hold in the palm of my hand. Those of you familiar with his expressions will notice that he hasn’t changed a bit.
Even though he’s grown (just a little) bit since then.

Great pictures. I love looking at baby pictures of my daughter and seeing the same expressions that she has now at 12.
