Though seemingly pleased with her new bed, Alden doesn’t seem to grasp the fundamental mechanics.
Yes, that’s my girl beneath that monkey, mixing up her parallel and perpendicular.
Perhaps if a few of her “friends” would be content to sleep on the floor instead? I’d start with the sand pail and sieve, for starters. And does she really need two fleece blankets when it’s 89 degrees outside?
I posed the question as politely as I could. The answer, apparently, is an emphatic yes.

Too funny. Emily just switched to a big-girl bed about a month ago. It’s a huge double bed, but there’s hardly room in it for her with all the books, animals, toys, and pillows that she piles in with her. And I don’t think I have ever once found her sleeping in the appropriate place in the bed facing the right direction. She always looks like she just fell out of a plane and happened to hit the mattress somewhere. Apparently it doesn’t bother these little ones to sleep right on top of books and toys. Love it. :)
Too funny. Big kid bed! And crowded womb replication. But the dreams clearly are sweet. That’s all that matters. Sleep tight.
Is Kato roaming in the mornings yet, or do his adventures keep him too tired?
What a giggle! Monkey is in pretty much the same posture as Alden, and looks just as sound asleep.
