If you read this blog with any regularity, you know that our kids are no strangers to the camera. We take a lot of pictures around here. One might argue it’s for the sake of posterity, that one day they might look back and catch some glimpses of their youth.

But given the volume of images we collect (we just had to upgrade to a new four-terabyte drive to store them in), it might well take them longer to review the images of their childhoods than it did to live them in the first place.

The other day, the kids struck back, grabbing the camera and turning the tables on us.

For example, here is an image by Alden that will give octogenarian Robbi an opportunity to look back on her late 30s.

And for Kato to look back on his early fours.

The camera does not lie. These were good times.

When Alden was done playing shutterbug, it was Kato’s time to get behind the lens.

I’m not sure which will make better slideshow fodder at her wedding reception.

August sensibly remained beyond the fray. As did I.

Because we are the sensible ones.
