Before we moved the crib out of the kids’ room, we used to store a long, low tupperware bin beneath it. When the beds arrived, it needed a new home. Naturally, we chose the middle of the living room.

Kato, fearless explorer of everything new and strange, decided to investigate.

What was this strange, long, low tupperware contrivance?

Moments later, they plot thickened.

Alden was singlehandedly trying to restore the bygone glory of the “babies in containers” days.

Feeling like Pandora, Kato tried to stuff her back inside.

Alas, she still outweighs him by ten pounds. She asserted her bulk and made a quick escape.

While Alden congratulated herself for her superior strength, Kato retreated to the now-empty bin, looking like he’d had the last laugh.

He may be smaller, and seemingly sweeter, but perhaps these attributes just make it easier for him to play his unsuspecting sister.

The kid has guile.

But he still has much to learn about using a straw.
