Robbi is working this morning, which means that the various domestic duties have fallen to me. In addition to doing the dishes and tending to the children, I am expected to prepare lavish meals.
And to serve them in a manner befitting a person of Robbi’s elegance, grace, and professional standing.
At 1:00 sharp, the paradigm shifts. I will become the hard working breadwinner, and Robbi will assume the mantle of domesticity. And will she spend the afternoon making me an appealing, complex meal? The answer is no. Instead, she is taking the children to visit with some friends. I cry foul. I can’t remember the last time Robbi brought me an overstuffed burrito while wearing a prom dress.
There is no parity in the workplace. We house husbands simply don’t get the respect that we deserve.

Lovely arrangement, Matt! Keep up the good work. I especially love all the clutter in the background! Ha! All the said, domesticity is a thankless job and has been since the dawn of time. This is what us men are just now finding out. Welcome to reality. ;D
Bravo! That lunch looks both brilliant and lowbrow. Very fitting.
You are a prince, Matthew!
Brilliant and lowbrow, indeed. It’s eerie the extent to which those two adjectives describe so many aspects of our lives. For those who don’t know what Jessica is talking about, check out the lower right quadrant of this link:

The lunch does look quite delicious. I particularly appreciate, though, the contrast between the very professional shirt and jacket with the plaid pajama bottoms. Classy.
Don, you’ve got it all wrong. Not “classy,” but “brilliant.” And “lowbrow.”
What a dish! Very well put together, you’re a lucky woman, Robbi.
(And the food platter doesn’t look half bad, either)
your obsession with the mondo burrito is underwhelming the entire operation
