We did a lot of laundry yesterday, five loads, I think. The laundry gods must have been feeling well honored, for I was presented with this gift upon removing the final load from the dryer.

Why, yes, that is the top of an apple. Why, yes, that is my Visa card, missing for six weeks now and long since replaced.

Let’s have a closer look at that apple.

Have you ever seen a cleaner piece of apple? Seeing how well this sucker fared on its journey through the laundry cycle, I think I might have stumbled upon a new way to make sure fruit is clean before we feed it to the kids.

O, thank ye, gods of laundry. You take our baby socks but leave such bounty in return. We are not worthy. We are not worthy. (Repeat).
