The strawberries are out, so grab an empty basket.
Bring your little brother.
And good things will happen.
Heading to Baltimore now. Will acquire Chipotle in Annapolis on the way home. This day has the makings of a good one.

Reason For Strawberry Season – Next time Robbi is procrastinating on a gastronomical level, get some of those sun buns from that place around the corner from you. Put them in a 300˚ oven until the sugar has caramelized. Put one in a bowl and pour fresh strawberries over it. The strawberries should have been mixed with a little sugar and allowed to sit until their sweet “essence” has been released. Some whipped cream, or half & half, doesn’t hurt.

This reminds me of Blueberries for Sal, by Robert McCloskey–one of my very favorite books when I was Alden’s age!
Also, that camera angle makes Alden look quite tall, not that I had any doubt that she was thriving and all that.

Mr Bigote – your proposition has been approved by none other than Doug the Baker himself. He has even committed to donating the sun buns for the cause. When we make our next strawberry run, you will be invited to partake. Or have you already tried this? If so, I’d rather not share. Because I’m greedy like that.
Abby – it’s amazing what a lens can do. Alden is quite, QUITE short.

Had it for breakfast this morning, and yesterday, and dessert Sat. You have my permission to be greedy, though we do enjoy your company.
