I’ve spent another week with Instagram on my iPhone and the love affair continues to burn brightly. I have been admonished by some of you for taking photos while driving. Others have chided me on overuse of the “nostalgia cam,” but I just can’t help myself on either count. If you are morally opposed to photographic sleight of hand, just skip this post. But if you care to have a look, here are a few things I’ve noticed this week.
The bridge on Route 1, between Middletown and Wilmington.
A row of trees on 213 between Chestertown and 301.
A stoplight somewhere (I don’t remember now). Please note the car was stopped when I took this photo.
Some clouds.
A window of the Old Shrewsbury Church, just outside of Kennedyville.
The graveyard behind the church.
Alden trying on her new swimming suit.
Kato trying on his new popsicle.
Alden on a windy day at the beach.
Kato in the late afternoon on the Washington College dock.
Alden in a tube.
The kids at the Wilmer Park pavilion.
A crab by the water.
A section of the Bay Bridge, westbound.
An admonition taped to the mirror of the men’s room in the Wawa just this side of the Bay Bridge when driving east.
My favorite spot on the drive across the bridge, the moment where the road turns and you can see straight down the alley between the two bridges.
It only lasts a moment.
Some irrigation contraption just south of Chestertown on 213.
Leaving Kingstown, approaching the Chester River Bridge.
The kids on the boardwalk at Eastern Neck Island, where we went yesterday afternoon so that Robbi could get some painting done.
Kato pointing. I’m not sure at what. Probably me. Probably imploring me to stop taking pictures and just enjoy my life for five minutes.
I could go on and on, but I’m trying to show some restraint. Showing restraint is a new concept for me. I’ll let you know how it goes.

I like them :)
Gorgeous nostalgia in the making. Please pull over so you can enjoy it as nostalgia, rather than we contemplating it as a memorial.
These are beautiful photos. I am drawn in even as I tease you about overuse of instagram. Continue forth..
