Alden walked over to me just now and handed me this drawing.
I told her that I thought it was great and asked her who it was.
“Alden,” she told me, emphasizing the first syllable as she always does.
The figure in the drawing has two eyes, a nose, and a mouth. So does Alden. The figure has two legs and two arms. So does Alden.
The figure is shaped like an ill-formed corn dog. Alden is not. But still, I think she’s making steady progress toward the representational.
It looks like someone is giving Robbi a run for her money when it comes to illustrations … :)
I had a great time meeting you both at your AWP booth and I know my friend will love your book. Now I’M PIMPIN’ you all out to other random people I meet at AWP. You guys are awesome.

I can’t wait to hear her say her name again, I miss my girl! When Cannon says “Alden” it sounds like “All done”. It will be so fun to get them together again, I imagine they’ve changed and developed so much. And i miss my boyfriend, Kato.
