First, the present moment. Or a recent moment, anyway. Yesterday late morning. The kids in the cat tower. I took this photo with my phone and sent it to Robbi. She converted it to black and white, and I love it.
As for the days ahead, we have quite a stretch before us. Thursday I’m in Philadelphia for work. Friday, we drive up to Williamstown for our 15-year college reunion. Saturday we give a children’s book reading and run a book making workshop. Sunday we drive to Andover to visit my mom. Wednesday, we head to Providence to check in at ICON. Thursday, we run a workshop on running a small press. Friday, we are manning the Idiots’Books booth at the ICON Rhode Show. And Saturday, we’ll be speaking from the main stage in front of 500 people, including many movers and shakers from the illustration world. Sunday we drive home. And a week later, we leave for Alaska.
Which is to say, I’m clinging to the peace and stillness of the present moment, while it lasts.

Whoa, what a sked. Just send the kids to Twigs while you’re gone and we’ll take care of ’em.
